Emancipate yourself from mental slavery; none but ourselves can free our minds.

Black love is not only a reflective collection of poetry but also, a life Walkman ― as poetickofi has carefully sandwiched it with thrilling paintings and photography by some of the most talented African American artists in the world.

It is split into seven chapters, each of which gives you an opportunity to crawl, walk, run and eventually fly your way out of loneliness, loss, depression, trauma, heartbreak, abuse and slavery while reminding you about how unique and amazing you’re.

sacrifices, fate and hope are what it restores as it opens its flood gate of endless and refreshing love amidst the fight for mental health and the fight against racism.

About the Author

Thomas Ayim is a young Ghanaian writer and poet who has mad love for art. He is a painter of emotions and a sculptor of thought-provoking verses about life.

Unfortunately, poetry married him at a very tender age; evidence being his poetic footprints that give comfort to any soil he steps on ― hence the title; poetickofi.

His dream is to encourage more people; especially teenagers, to pen down their emotions through poems in order to lick off pain, worry, anger, lust, depression, loss and trauma so as to make out love to live.

Black love is Thomas's debut published collection of poetry. To be updated with more of the author's work, please visit his social media handle: @iampoetickofi across all platforms.
